Valerie Leri, Visual Artist - Rising Tides Artworks, Neighbor

I graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in Fine Arts in 1982. I have been creating paintings ever since. The type of paintings I create are what I would call Abstract Expressionism and my artistic expression is intended to lighten the spirit. I would call the majority of my paintings uplifting.

I grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts but have always wanted to live on the Cape and finally I did...I have been living on the Cape in Mashpee for the past 10 years.

When I'm not painting or doing shows, I like to spend time with my three kids, two cats and three dogs.

The Cape is a wonderful place to allow me to tap into my spiritual self and I believe my paintings reflect that, and, of course, the beauty of Cape Cod.
