Former Teller Charged with Stealing from TD Bank Customers

The Hyannis man is accused of manipulating transactions and stealing more than $8,000.

TD Bank began looking into teller David Garvey-Campbell’s transactions in April and uncovered irregularities, according to the Cape Cod Times.

The Cape Cod Times reports that Garvey-Campbell denied taking the money but agreed to pay it back. Bank officials did not press charges until recently when Garvey-Campbell failed to reimburse the bank by the agreed upon time.

A bank investigator gave police documents that show Garvey-Campbell, 21 of Hyannis, altered deposits made into customers’ accounts and cashed the checks instead. Garvey-Campbell allegedly made off with nearly $8,500 from the scheme.
