Barnstable High School Awarded Grant for Career Academy

The Barnstable High School Career Academy will get a boost thanks to a $40 thousand state grant.

 

The state is awarding $3.5 million dollars to gateway cities across the Commonwealth to help strengthen English language instruction and early career education for students.

Barnstable is one of 16 school districts selected to receive funds. Barnstable High School will receive $40 thousand dollars for its Career Academy. The academy focuses on culinary arts, hospitality management and tourism, medical careers, early childhood education, environmental technologies and the arts.

The academy partners with Cape Cod Community College, Cape Cod Healthcare, the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
