I was born and brought up in Braintree, went to Hollis for kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, then off to Lakeside School, back to Hollis for Jr. High and then to BHS to complete my high school education. When I was married in 1965, we moved to Pembroke where I resided until 1993. I was blessed with two children and after my first husband died, I remarried and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. I worked most of my life in the Administrative Management field and then, unfortunately, in 2008 our business office closed and I was out of a job. I looked for work for two years and then decided that maybe it was time to retire, since I had so many other things that needed to be done. You ask, have things slowed up since retirement.....NOT!

I was involved in volunteer work for the American Cancer Society while my sister was battling gall bladder cancer, the Alzheimer’s Association after my dad passed away from
the disease, the Waccamaw Youth Center, Habitat for Humanity, Katrina’s Angels, Children’s Chance, Newborns in Need, Wings for Children and the Rape Crisis Center. I enrolled in Adult Ed classes for photography and
computer technology. It has been my pleasure to be instrumental in reuniting several members of my Braintree High School Class of 1963. I created a web site for my BHS Class and my SC Baystaters group (Massachusetts transplants group). I am the founder of the SC Baystaters and am also the SC State Secretary for the BTW (Brothers of the Third Wheel) motorcycle/trike group. At the present time, I am the Vice-President/Treasurer and Newsletter Chairperson for my Cypress Keyes Homeowners Association.

Do I have any spare time, NOT, but I like it that way!
