Letter to the Editor: Barnstable Assembly of Delegates

To The Editor: According to a September 23, 2011 Cape Cod Times article, the buyout and forced departure of former town manager John Klimm cost Barnstable taxpayers an estimated $450,000. That political fiasco directly resulted from the unfortunate actions of six town councilors at the time. Former Barnstable Town Councilor J. Gregory Milne was one of those persons. Milne could not run for another term for town council last year because of term limits. Hence, his actions were never appropriately put to any sort of referendum before the voters. He was at least partially responsible for the unnecessary financial burden placed upon local taxpayers resulting from the apparent clear lack of due diligence on the part of those who initiated the…
