A new vegan and vegetarian restaurant is moving to Main St. in March. The Green Lotus is taking over the space formerly used by La Petite Fance.
Dennis native Nate Fanara is opening the restaurant, according to the Cape Cod Times. Fanara will feature raw food and vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free cuisine at the new café. The café will also serve some of the breads and coffee that were a staple of La Petite France. There will be some familiar faces at the new café, as some former La Petite France employees will be staying on. Fanara plans to open the Green Lotus in late March.

Even though the name may say “Boston Bakes”...each year more and more Cape & Islands bakeries and restaurants join in the fight to cure and treat breast cancer with a very special Bake Sale. These businesses recognize women on Cape Cod are being touched by breast cancer at a rate of 20% higher than the national average. The 2012 event is dedicated to the memory of a long time Cape resident who was stricken with breast cancer long before it was so much in the public eye. The 2012 Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer honoree is Eleanor Wilcox, former West Barnstable resident and grandmother of La Petite France Cafe owner, Heidi Parent.
