Father's Day Weekend Planner

Five fun things to do with dad this weekend.

What: Bikes On Ice Motorcycle Showcase When: Sunday from 9am to 4pm Where: Hyannis Youth and Community Center in the Butler Rink Why Go: Bikes On Ice will feature 80 custom, stock and antique motorcycles as well as vendors of all kinds!  Examples include former NHL Player Brian Leetch's commemorative Harley Davidson that he received when he retired; a 1946 Harley Davidson owned by a local Native who has clocked more than 300,000 miles on several cross-country trips; and local artist Greg Vaughan's ink bike along with his unique style of artwork on helmets and more. When: Monday, May 28 - The parade will form at the library at 9:30am and kick-off sharply at 10am Where: The traditional parade takes place as in years past down Main Street in Centerville from the Centerville Library, up Old Stage Road to Beechwood Cemetery.   Cost: Free Why: In keeping with hometown parades across the country, Barnstable's parade includes school bands, politicians, marching Boy and Girl Scouts, honor guards, musket salutes and much more.  The parade will proceed to Monument Square for brief ceremonies and then move on to Beechwood Cemetery for the Memorial Day Program which includes observances and Keynote Speaker Sidney L.
