Strong First Week for the Daily Paper on Main

The Daily Paper on Main had a smooth first week after it’s opening Monday.

Owners, Aaron and Samantha Webb, opened their second location Monday in Hyannis. The Webb’s also own the Daily Paper on West Main St.  The Webb’s purchased Perry’s Main Street Deli from Perry Gaines who was ready for retirement after running the restaurant for 23 years. The new restaurant serves breakfast all day and lunch. Despite having opened only a few days ago the restaurant was running like a well-oiled machine Thursday when I stopped by to grab lunch. That may be in large part to the Webb’s decision to keep most of Perry’s staff. When asked how the first week had gone Aaron Webb simply gave the thumbs up. “It’s good to be here,” Webb said. Cape Fish and Lobster Opens New Location

Cape Fish and Lobster opened its new location on West Main St. Monday.

  Cape Fish and Lobster is now located at 626 West Main St. in Hyannis, next door to the Daily Paper. The fish store will be open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Whole Foods Market to Open Hyannis Location

Cape Cod residents will have another option when shopping for natural and organic foods next winter.

Whole Foods Market, a natural foods supermarket based out of Austin, Texas, will open its first Cape Cod location in the former Borders Bookstore location in Hyannis. The company plans to hire 175 employees and open the store in the winter of 2013, according to a press release. President of the company’s North Atlantic region, Laura Derba, said over the years they have had many requests to bring a store to the Cape. “We are pleased to be joining a community that is so well loved by residents and vacationers alike,” Derba said in a statement. Whole Foods Market employs more than 69,000 people and has been ranked as the “100 Best Companies to Work For” in the country by Fortune magazine for 15 consecutive years. We want to know what you …

Pricey or not, having another competitor to Stop & Shop is GREAT! That chain has become such a ripoff! Stores are filthy and prices are ridiculous. With chain's buying power, it would be nice to pass some of that savings on to customers. Hooray for Market Basket, Whole Foods, and Trader Jack's!   more ›
