Jennifer, I want to first commend you for starting this Mom's Council area of the site with such a challenging topic--when you first said you were going to have this on your site, I was imagining lots of advice about, well, "simple thing" like breast feeding, but was hoping for challenging topics. I'm really enjoying reading what everyone has said. I guess some things change and some things DON'T! While I can see that a "real date" is a very scary prospect, Moms can see that it's normal and healthy for kids to eventually go out on a date!
