Women's Hockey East Tournament at HYCC Featured on NESN

Boston University won in double overtime.

The Hyannis Youth & Community Center successfully hosted the Women's Hockey East Championship Tournament this weekend and made its television debut as NESN broadcast Sunday's Championship Final Game between Providence College and Boston University (being rebroadcast at 2PM today). Here's a link to the public photo album from this weekend's tournament.  BU won in double overtime and the 2-1 score reflects what an exhilarating game it was. Nearly 2,500 spectators came to watch the games and the Cape Cod Waves organized a youth practice on Friday where the college players invited members of the Waves, Barnstable and Canal programs to join them on the ice. HYCC Announces New Skating Progams

An update from the Hyannis Youth and Community Center on new skating programs.

Hockey season is in full swing and the ponds and bogs are not yet frozen; but Cape Codders of all abilities have a place to come and skate this winter (and all year-round)! The Hyannis Youth & Community Center is now offering specialized public skating programs along with the normal everyday offerings!  It’s all about the kids and the Cape Cod community too!  All of the following programs are subject to availability so please call us at508.790.6345 or check our web site for details and updated schedules.
