A bill passed in the state senate on Thursday requiring competition for electric contracts as a way to help reduce costs for consumers.
The Senate on Thursday took on the high costs of electricity in Massachusetts by unanimously passing legislation that will create more competition for energy contracts and bring down prices, Senator Wolf announced. “I’m proud to have voted for a bill that will strengthen Massachusetts’ clean energy policies and helps us better accomplish our sustainable goals,” said Senator Wolf (D-Harwich). “This legislation ensures that we are making informed and transparent investments in clean energy, an increasingly important investment in the future of the Commonwealth.
