12-12-12 Concert to Benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims

Some of the biggest names in music will play at a benefit concert on Wednesday. All proceeds will go to Hurricane Sandy victims, via the Robin Hood Foundation.

Huge names in music are lending their talents to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts at the “12-12-12” concert on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Every penny sold from ticket sales will go directly to Sandy victims through the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which provides material, money and aid to local organizations that are serving families and individuals in the regions hardest hit by the storm, including over 200 Patch towns in New Jersey, Connecticut and Long Island. The all-star lineup includes Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney, with other artists to be announced. 1)  Bob Saget at the Melody Tent Friday, 8pm Best known for his TV roles as Danny Tanner on Full House and as host of America’s Funniest Videos, Bob Saget has done a lot more over his career, including being a stand-up comedian, re-occurring roles on Entourage and roles in films like, Half-Baked, Madagascar and Dumb and Dumberer. Free Concert Tonight at Aselton Park

Pefect weather is expected for tonight's Freddie and the Maybellines concert at Aselton Park.

Referred to by many as "New England's premier show band," Freddie and the Maybellines are set to perform tonight in Hyannis. Aselton Park will be the venue, with the show slated to start at 6:30pm. Tonight's concert is part of a summer long free concert series sponsored by Citizens Bank. Freddie and the Maybellines specializes in playing party tunes from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Their song selection may be from years past, however the show is geared towards all ages. Recently the group has performed at Chatham's First Night, the Falmouth Road Race and the Bourne Scallop Fest. Aselton Memorial Park is located at the corner of South and Ocean Street in Hyannis.
