Yarmouth Police Investigate String of Commercial Break-Ins

The Yarmouth Police Department is investigating 9 break-ins at various local businesses in less than a week.

Yarmouth police responded to a total of 5 commercial break-ins Sunday January 13 and four previous commercial break-ins Wednesday January 9, according to a press release. Police believe the break-ins are connected and are searching for the suspect. Businesses targeted by the thief Sunday include Allie Waste, Yardscape, Quantum Mechanics and Lemco Marine. Police say all the break-ins occurred in the same general time period, included forced entry and small amounts of cash were stolen in each incident. Yarmouth police are advising business owners to secure overnight cash in safes or remove it from the building, properly lock all doors, activate interior lights, check alarm systems and report any suspicious activity immediately.
