A woman was driving on Pine St. in Centerville when her car was struck with debris that smashed her windshield.
Monday afternoon at around 2:45 a woman was driving on Pine St. in Centerville when some debris or something hanging off the back of a truck smashed her windshield, according to Barnstable police. The woman pulled over immediately and neighbors quickly gathered to help her and called the police. Medics with the Centerville Osterville Marstons Mills Fire Department evaluated the woman who had some cuts and bruises to her face but no major injuries. The accident created some backup for drivers for about a half an hour.

A fire at a home in Centerville displaced nine individuals and the Cape and Islands chapter of the American Red Cross stepped in to help.
Four children and five adults were displaced after a fire damaged the attic and roof of a home on North Main St. in Centerville Wednesday evening, according to the Cape Cod Times. The Cape and Islands chapter of the American Red Cross is helping some of the residents with temporary housing. Fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze, but told the Cape Cod Times it does not appear suspicious.

A car struck a high school girl this morning in Centerville. She was taken to a Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
The high school student was crossing the street to get to her bus when the car struck her, according to Barnstable Police. The incident occurred at about 7 a.m. on Old Stage Rd. and Patriot Way. The girl was driven to a Rhode Island hospital with serious injuries.

A car crashed into the 7-Eleven in Centerville Tuesday afternoon, damaging the front of the store.
According to Barnstable police the crash occurred when the driver mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake while parking in front of the store at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday. The car struck a large cement trashcan then pushed it through a front window. The car then turned to avoid further damage and scraped the front of the building until crashing into another vehicle parked in the lot. No injuries were reported and the damage to the store was minor. The accident is under investigation.

The Centerville Fourth of July parade is on Wednesday, July 4.
The Centerville Fourth of July parade is on Wednesday, July 4 starting at 10am. The parade is presented by Bay Lane PTA at Centerville Elementary School and Centerville Civic Association. The parade will form on the grounds of Centerville Elementary School and proceeds up Bay Lane, taking a right onto Bumps River Road; a left onto Park Avenue; a right onto Main Street and continues to the Centerville Recreation Building where it will end.
