A mother and her 5-year-old child were taken to Cape Cod Hospital this morning after a three-car crash in Hyannis.
The crash happened after 8 this morning at the intersection of Yarmouth Rd. and Old Yarmouth Rd., according to the Cape Cod Times. Police closed the roadway while officials worked to clear the accident. There is no word yet on the condition of the mother and her child.

A car crashed into the 7-Eleven in Centerville Tuesday afternoon, damaging the front of the store.
According to Barnstable police the crash occurred when the driver mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake while parking in front of the store at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday. The car struck a large cement trashcan then pushed it through a front window. The car then turned to avoid further damage and scraped the front of the building until crashing into another vehicle parked in the lot. No injuries were reported and the damage to the store was minor. The accident is under investigation.

Judith Morse, of West Tisbury, and another woman were killed, while another sustained minor injuries in an accident this afternoon on the Kennedy property in Aquinnah
Kennedy properties always get a lot of attention. However, curiosity of three women about the Kennedy's Red Gate Farm estate in Aquinnah, Martha's Vineyard ended in tragedy. Two women were killed, and another injured in a car accident on the property yesterday afternoon. A preliminary investigation by State Police Sgt. Thomas Medeiros into the double motor vehicle fatality on the private property, where a third victim suffered minor injuries, indicates that Judith Morse, 70, of West Tisbury, was backing her 2000 Land Cruiser down a private driveway when she struck a tree. She then attempted to drive forward when the vehicle struck an electrical box, a porch attached to a garage, and then traveled up a hill striking a tree head on. …

Gary Ostrom of West Barnstable died in a car crash on Rte. 495 early this morning. A passenger was seriously injured.
A Barnstable man died in a single-car crash on Route 495 early this morning at 6:28 a.m. by exit 11, Mansfield, according to a press release from the Massachusetts State Police. The passenger was seriously injured. Gary Ostrom,53, of West Barnstable, was driving a 2003 Ford pick-up truck northbound when the vehicle skidded off the road and rolled over into the median strip, ejecting both occupants, according to a preliminary investigation by the State Police. Ostrom was transported to Sturdy Hospital by the Mansfield Fire Department and pronounced deceased a short time later, State Police said in a press release. This is a sad case that seems to bring about some questions. Much more goes into the investigation process during a car crash than simply speculation. Everyone should be aware that attorneys will inspect all areas of an accident. Many things go unnoticed without further investigation.
