Marstons Mills Man Arrested for Trafficking Cocaine

Police arrested Roeun Heng and seized $8,000 worth of crack cocaine in a drug bust Tuesday.

Over the past month police have been investigating Roeun Heng, 31, of Marstons Mills, according to a press release. During the investigation police allegedly conducted numerous controlled cocaine buys at Heng’s home at 166 Chuckles Way. Police learned Heng was planning a trip to Rhode Island to resupply. While in Rhode Island, detectives observed Heng conducting what appeared to be a quick drug transaction. Police pulled Heng over as he was making his way home Tuesday on Route 6. Police found 44 grams of cocaine in Vieira’s vehicle worth $8,000. Police also searched Heng’s home and arrested his roommate 31-year-old Kenneth Vieira. Hyannis Man Arrested in Drug Bust, Heroin & Cocaine Seized

Barnstable police arrested Anthony Russ Wednesday following a five-month heroin and cocaine distribution investigation.

During the investigation police conducted numerous undercover purchases and extensive surveillance at 398 West Main St. Apt. C and 19 General Patton Dr., according to a press release. Detectives executed search warrants at both locations Wednesday. During the raid police seized $5,000 worth of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana in addition to $1300 in cash. Mashpee Street Crime Unit Officer Mike Assad and his drug-sniffing dog, Lola, located the heroin in an abandoned vehicle at 19 General Patton Drive. Anthony Russ, 25, of Hyannis was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin and possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute. Russ was arraigned Thursday in Barnstable District Court.

Police Arrest Centerville Woman, Seize $2K Worth of Oxycodone

Police arrested Jordan Robinson after they say she tried to sell pills in a local parking lot.

Barnstable Police Narcotics and Street Crimes Detectives were staking out an area of the Cape Cod Mall parking lot Tuesday as part of an ongoing drug investigation, according to a press release. During the stake out police allege they saw Jordan Robinson, 23, of Centerville get into a car with two males. Detectives approached the car and saw Robinson counting money in the back, while the two men in front were handing her more money.   When questioned by police the two males admitted they were attempting to purchase oxycodone pills from Robinson. Robinson was taken to the Barnstable Police Department where a K-9 unit detected narcotics in her bra. Robinson also turned over a bag that contained 53, 30 mg. oxycodone tablets that are valued at…

Man Arrested, Charged with Videotaping Women at Hyannis Tanning Salon

A Mashpee man is arrested after a woman told police she thought she had been videotaped at a tanning salon in Hyannis.

  A 29-year-old woman contacted Barnstable police after spotting what she believed was a camera hidden in the floor of a tanning booth at Sunsational Tanning in Hyannis, according to a press release. The woman told police a male employee in his late forties directed her to the booth. Police set up surveillance outside Sunsational Tanning and allegedly spotted the suspected employee set up a cell phone camera in a changing room. Officer Roy Ricci entered the tanning salon and retrieved the phone belonging to Luis Carlos Macedo. Ricci also discovered a peep-hole in the room, concealed by an advertisement. When questioned Macedo, 47 of Mashpee, admitted to videotaping females with a cell phone or camera. Police found 21 inappropriate videos …

Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Copper Spouts off Osterville Homes

Police say a Sandwich man admitted to stealing copper spouts off 16 houses in Barnstable, 11 of those in Osterville.

  Barnstable police stepped up patrols after receiving 16 reports of copper theft in Barnstable beginning January 4, according to a press release. While checking houses on Bay St. in Osterville February 21 Patrolman Steve Everett noticed a missing spout on one of the homes that had been in tact during an earlier patrol. Everett began to check nearby homes and located a suspicious car that allegedly had a pry bar on the front seat in plain view. The car was registered to Peter Strazzullo, 35 of Sandwich. After watching the car for some time a second vehicle pulled up and quickly sped off. Police stopped the vehicle and questioned Strazzullo who was a passenger in the car. Cape Police Officer Arrested, Charged with Assault with Intent to Murder

A veteran Sandwich police officer was arrested Thursday night for allegedly ramming a family members car and running it off the road.

  Michael F. Hoadley, 46, was driving on Rt. 6 east bound when he allegedly rammed the back of a family members vehicle multiple times forcing it into the median, according to a press release. After ensuring the safety of the victim, Sandwich police arrested Hoadley. Hoadley was charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (motor vehicle), domestic assault and battery, operating to endanger, and leaving the scene of accident with property damage. Hoadley’s police powers have been suspended and he was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Hyannis Man Arrested for Breaking into Six Homes

Police arrested a Hyannis man for allegedly breaking into six homes; at the time of his arrest the man was out on bail for a previous breaking and entering charge.

Barnstable police were investigating two residential break-ins Thursday morning on Walnut St. and Oak St. in Hyannis when a nearby neighbor called to report a man peaking into a sliding door in the back of a home on Spruce St. Officers brought in a K9 to help locate the suspect, according to a press release. During the search officers heard a woman screaming on Lewis Rd. and saw a man fleeing from the area. After chasing the suspect on foot officers found Ethan Woodward, 22, of Hyannis on Baxter Rd. Police believe Woodward broke into homes on Oak St., Walnut St., Spruce St. and Pilgrim Rd. Police allege Woodward also threw a brick a bedroom window of a home on Lewis Rd. where a woman was sleeping. The woman was cut by pieces of the broken …

Barnstable Officer Injured by Needle During Drug Arrest

A Barnstable police officer was pricked by a hypodermic needle during a drug arrest Friday night.

While on patrol in Hyannis Friday night two members of the Barnstable Street Crime Unit pulled over a Toyota pickup truck for driving erratically on Winter St, according to a press release. Police suspected the driver, Sean M. Sprague, 38, of Yarmouth, was under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both. Police said they noticed an open container of alcohol inside the truck. Two passengers were in the truck with Sprague at the time of the stop, Gregory A. Hines, 51, of Hyannis and Tara J. Rapacki, 29, of Marstons Mills. Police noted both passengers have a lengthy criminal history including prior narcotics convictions. Barnstable County Commissioner Arrested for OUI

County Commissioner Sheila Lyons was arrested Tuesday night for OUI after police say she failed a series of sobriety tests.

Eastham police arrested County Commissioner Sheila Lyons Tuesday November 20 for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Cape Cod Times.   According to a police report Lyons stumbled when she was asked to get out of the car and failed five field sobriety tests. During one test Lyons started to fall towards an officer and then began to dance after regaining her balance.   Eastham police allege Lyons registered a blood alcohol level of .19 and .20 on Breathalyzer tests, more than twice the legal limit of .08.   Lyons is charged with OUI and a marked lanes violation.  A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for December 21. It seems enough for most folks that Lyons is human, she's admitted to making a serious mistake, and she's going to face substantial consequences through the court system. Drug Arrest at Horace Mann Charter School Playground

Two Barnstable men were arrested Friday at the Horace Mann Charter School.

On Friday, July 8, at approximately 6:59pm, a Barnstable officer observed a black Chevy Monty Carlo sedan on Bearse's Way enter the Horace Mann Charter School without using a directional signal, stated the police report. According to court documents, the sedan pulled up to the rear of the school, by the children's playground. At this point the officer activated his lights and executed a motor vehicle stop. The operator, later identified as Charles Horton, 18, of 57 Thornberry Lane, Centerville, said he and his companion were at the school for skateboarding purposes.
