While opponents to "Obamacare" have pressed for a repeal, President Obama's health care law will stand.
The Supreme Court today upheld the invidual portion of President Obama's health care law. While in Massachusetts there is not much difference in the type of health care coverage we will receive, it will create an onslaught of change across the country. According to an AP report, Chief Justice John Roberts said the court's judgment that allows the law to go forward and help cover more than 30 million uninsured Americans. "The individual mandate cannot be upheld as an exercise of Congress's power under the Commerce Clause," Roberts wrote. "That Clause authorizes Congress to regulate interstate commerce, not to order individuals to engage in it.
