Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraisers, Pumpkin Sale
Here's a quick look at some of the things happening in Barnstable this weekend.
Strike Out Breast Cancer
Ryan Family Amusements, 1067 Rte. 28, So. Yarmouth, will host a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, on Friday, Oct. 4. The "Strike Out Breast Cancer and Spare Lives" bowl-a-thon will start at 6 p.m. Admission is a donation of $25 per lane per hour for up to four people.
Pumpkin Sale
Unitarian Church of Barnstable, 3330 Main St., Barnstable Village, will be selling locally grown pumpkins this weekend, starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, The sale will benefit the historic church.
Cape Cod Beer Oktoberfest
Cape Code Beer will hold a free Oktoberfest celebration at the brewery, 1336 Phinney's Ln, Hyannis, Saturday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets will be sold for beer, wine, food and Oktoberfest Challenges.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
The Fourth Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Cape Cod Walk is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6. Registration for the four and two mile walks begin at 8:30 a.m. The walk will begin and end at the Barnstable County Courthouse, 3195 Main Street.
