Dumped Puppies Rescued by MSPCA

Two Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed pups were left to fend for themselves inside a Goodwill donation bin next to the Hyannis Shaw's.

The cries of two 10-week old puppies found in a closed plastic bin alongside Goodwill donation bins at Shaw's in Hyannis tipped off a good Samaritan who brought the puppies to the care of .

The puppies found last Friday, are suffering from cold weather and a serious, but treatable, skin disease and will be ready for adoption at MSPCA next Friday.

MSPCA’s adoption center - its animal care adoption staff - are treating their illnesses and taking care of newly named Monkey and Baby.

“We’re very thankful to the person who brought these puppies into our Adoption Center,” said manager Cassie Marischen.  “Their health issues, coupled with the fact that last Friday was an extremely cold day in Hyannis, could easily have resulted in their dying outside in the parking lot.  We will aggressively treat their skin conditions until both are ready to be put up for adoption.”

The MSPCA-Centerville has established a donation page for anyone who wishes to donate to the care of these puppies, or animals like them.  The MSPCA-Centerville will issue another announcement when the puppies become available for adoption.
