Oak Street Paving Scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday

The Department of Public Works will pave a section of Oak Street in West Barnstable on August 21 and 22.

Access to several roads near Oak Street in West Barnstable will be limited on Wednesday, August 21, and Thursday, August 22, while the Department of Public Works completes Phase II of a reconstruction project.

The work will extend from Route 6 overpass to about 200 ft. south of Moco Road.

Residents living in the following areas will be affected by Phase II:

  • Oak Street
  • Hollyhock Drive
  • Elmer’s Way
  • Residents of Plum Street are advised to use Plum Street and Route 6A as a means of access and egress.
Access to these areas will be limited to residents of the direct area and emergency vehicles.

The construction will begin promptly at 7 a.m. and will end by 5 p.m. each day.
