Duffy Health Center in Hyannis Receives State Grant

The Patrick Administration announced Wednesday that 57 hospitals and health centers would receive $14.5 million to provided more effective and cost-efficient care. Duffy Health Center, Inc. in Hyannis received $140,736.

The grants fell into four categories including: developing fully integrated delivery systems, developing alternatives to fee-for-service payments that promote system sustainability, improving health outcomes and quality and enhancing outreach and enrollment.

Duffy Health Center's funds will be applied to developing fully integrated delivery systems, specifically medical home transformation.

"We rely on hospitals and community health centers throughout the Commonwealth to provide residents with accessible, cost-effective health care," said Governor Deval Patrick. "This funding will help providers improve services so patients get the care they need, and ultimately, it will support our top priority of controlling health care costs."
