Barnstable Town Council Ballot Set for November

Precincts 6 and 12 held preliminary elections for Town Council on Tuesday.

Barnstable voters in Precinct 6 and Precinct 12 voted Tuesday, September 17, in a preliminary election to choose the two candidates for the Town Council election in November.

Precinct 6 drew 509 voters, who chose William Crocker, Jr., with 274 votes, and Deborah G. Converse, who earned 131 votes, to represent them on November 5. Michael P. Hersey, 22 votes, and Joseph R. Pino, 82 votes, will be left off the ballot.

In Precinct 12, 94 voters chose between three candidates. John T. Norman, 41 votes, and Donald C. Lynde, 31 votes, will square off for the Precinct 12 seat in the next election.  Mark Despotopulos earned 22 votes on Tuesday.
