Yarmouth Police Investigate Alleged Stabbing

Members of the Hyannis Fire Department found a 46-year-old man Tuesday morning in Hyannis with a single stab wound to the abdomen.

 

The victim told Yarmouth police he was attacked and stabbed by two unknown white males between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Route 28 in South Yarmouth, according to a press release.

The victim went home after the attack and attempted to tend to the wound in his abdomen on his own. Several hours later the man attempted to walk from his Yarmouth home to the Barnstable District Court for a court date when he decided to seek help.

Members of the Hyannis Fire Department found the victim near the airport rotary and took him to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment.
