Where Was Mary Sullivan Killed?

Written by Jake O'Donnell.

Above is a look at the Beacon Hill location where Mary Sullivan, 19, was found dead in 1964.

The address, 44 Charles St., is home to the Paramount Pub. Sullivan had moved to an apartment at the address just four days before she was murdered.

On Thursday, police announced breakthrough in the decades-old investigation, identifying Albert DeSalvo--who admitted to being the infamous "Boston Strangler"--as Sullivan's murderer through DNA evidence.

Sullivan was the aunt of Hyannis native and American crime author and journalist Casey Sherman, who helped lead a high-profile re-investigation of his aunt's murder, which he later chronicled in his book, "A Rose for Mary: The Hunt for the Real Boston Strangler".
