Victim of Fatal Pedestrian-Vehicle Accident Identified
Barnstable Police have identified the woman struck by a vehicle on Iyannough Road, Monday night.
The Barnstable Police Department has identified Zhou Caron, 50, of Hyannis, as the woman struck and killed by a pickup truck on Monday night, Dec. 23.
Just before 9 p.m., Caron was reportedly trying to cross Route 132 near the McDonald's, 654 Iyannough Road, when a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck struck her.
Responding officers found Caron, who was severely injured, lying in the eastbound lane. CPR was administered on the scene.
The victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as John Daley of Eastham by Barnstable Police.
The accident remained under investigation as of Tuesday morning.
