Two Barnstable Men Arrested on Drug Charges

Two men are facing drug charges after a two-month undercover investigation by the Barnstable Police Department Narcotics Unit.

Barnstable police obtained a warrant to search a Hyannis hotel room and Cadillac Escalade after making a series of undercover cocaine purchases, according to a press release.

Police executed the search warrant Friday afternoon and seized about 70 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, packaging material and about $2,500 in cash. 70 grams of cocaine has a street value of $10,000.

Police arrested Rafael Perez, 29, of Hyannis and charged him with trafficking cocaine.  Police then searched Perez’s West Main St. apartment and seized another $7,200 in cash.
