Suspected Drug Traffickers Arrested in Marstons Mills

A collaborative effort resulted in the arrest of two people for oxycodone distribution.

A Sandwich woman and a Marstons Mills man was arrested last week for their alleged involvement in distributing oxycodone tablets on Cape Cod, according to Barnstable Police.

Barnstable Police and Sandwich Police detectives worked with Agents from the DEA Cape Cod Task Force and the Cross Border Initiative to arrest Nicole Cabral, 25, and Mario Gatto, 31, in Marstons Mills.

Detectives witnessed a "suspicious meeting" at Cabral's Sandwich home. They followed her to Marstons Mills, and stopped her as she slowed down to meet with Gatto.

Cabral was found in possession of 195 oxycodone tablets. She was charged with Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act and Trafficking Oxycodone (18-36 gms).

Gatto was also stopped. He was found with $4,500, the "appropriate wholesale purchase price for the 195 pills seized from Cabral," according to police. He also had a small number of oxycodone pills in the vehicle.

Gatto was charged with Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Act and Possession of Oxycodone With Intent to Distribute.

A warrant executed on Cabral's home also turned up 50 additional oxycodone pills, cocaine and $1,600 cash. She was also charged with Possession of Oxycodone and Cocaine With Intent to Distribute.
