The two men failed to appear for classes on Thursday and Friday.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Coast Guard and Marine Patrol checking the coastline looking for the missing men.

“We currently have not hard facts to support the men going into the water at this time”, stated Chief Sanford on Saturday. “Because of the residence being in close proximity to the water, we felt it prudent to ask for the search of that area.”

The two students were both expected to head to their home states for the holidays.

“Family members are very concerned for their safety,”  stated Chief Sanford.
