UPDATED: Police Find Clothing During Search for Missing Barnstable Man in Maine

Maine police are searching for Prescott Wright of Barnstable, 23, and Zachary Wells of Burlington, Vt., 21, students at the Landing School in Arundel, Maine.

Kennebunkport, Maine police continue their search for Prescott Wright ,23, of Barnstable and Zachary Wells, 21, of Vermont, students at the Landing School, in Arundel, Maine.

Maine Marine Patrol units found clothing items of one of the missing men Monday on the rocks of one of the small islands off Cape Porpoise in Kennebunkport.  The unit along with the Kennebunport Police Department  continue to search the area where the clothes were found.

The two men disappeared late Thursday night after a party at Well's house, according to a press release from Chief Craig A. Sanford of the Kennebunkport Police Department.

Wells is described as a white male 5’8” tall, black hair, hazel eyes, weighing approximately 150 lbs. Wells has a surgical scar on his neck.

Wright is described as a white male 6’4” tall, brown hair, blue eyes, weighing approximately 200 lbs.

The two men failed to appear for classes on Thursday and Friday.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Coast Guard and Marine Patrol checking the coastline looking for the missing men.

“We currently have not hard facts to support the men going into the water at this time”, stated Chief Sanford on Saturday. “Because of the residence being in close proximity to the water, we felt it prudent to ask for the search of that area.”

The two students were both expected to head to their home states for the holidays.

“Family members are very concerned for their safety,”  stated Chief Sanford.

Should anyone have information on the whereabouts of Zachary Wells or Prescott Wright, please call the Kennebunkport Police Department at 207-967-2454.
