Notable incidents from Tuesday January 22, 2013

Police arrested Richard J. Childs, 43, of Centerville, while responding to a report of a hit and run at Barnstable High School at 12:21 a.m. Childs was charged with OUI-liquor, operating to endanger, failure to stop for a police officer and leaving the scene after property damage.

Police responded to a report of assault and battery at Barnstable Intermediate School at 9:19 a.m.

Police responded to a report of larceny on Emerson Way at 10:43 a.m.

Police responded to a report of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon at apartment #6WE at Cape Crossroads Condominiums on Bearse’s Way at 11:13 a.m.

Police responded to a report of larceny at More For Less Cashpoint on Main St. at 11:20a.m.

Police arrested Lawrence R. Lewis, 26, of Hyannis, during a motor vehicle stop on Old Falmouth Rd. and 1 Steele Way at 2:17 p.m. Lewis was charged with disorderly conduct and operating a motor vehicle after revocation of registration.

Police responded to a report of a domestic restraining order violation at 841 Pitcher’s Way at 2:23 p.m.

Police responded to a report of domestic verbal argument at apartment #8 in the Village Apartments on Falmouth Rd. at 5:25 p.m.

Police responded to a report of shoplifting at Men’s Macy’s in the Cape Cod Mall and arrested Samantha Jean Howard, 21, of Mashpee. Howard was charged with larceny of property over $250 and assault and battery.

Police responded to a report of domestic breaking and entering at 638 South Main St. at 7:42 p.m.
