Scott Jean was arrested Saturday after being released from Massachusetts General Hospital.

A Marstons Mills man, who was shot by a Barnstable Police Detective after allegedly sticking multiple police vehicles with his pickup truck on Oct. 29, was released from  Massachusetts General Hospital and arrested on Nov. 9, according to the Boston Herald.

Scott Jean, 34, who was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries, was arrested on numerous assault, motor vehicle and drug charges.

Jean is suspected of transporting large quantities of oxycodone from the the Boston area to Cape Cod by the Barnstable Police Department Narcotics Unit.

Members of the Narcotics Unit attempted to stop Jean's vehicle in the area of Route 149 and Route 6 on Oct. 29, after he was suspected of meeting with an oxycodone supplier in Everett.

According to police, the suspect refused to stop, struck two BPD vehicles and nearly ran over two detectives.

Jean's vehicle was spotted on Old Stage Road in Centerville a short time later, where a second stop was attempted. Jean pulled to the side of the road on Rolling Hitch Drive and waited for detectives to exit their vehicles before attempting to flee again, according to police.

At that time, Jean allegedly struck another police vehicle and drove at a detective who was one foot. The detective, who was later identified as Detective Peter Ginnetty, discharged one round, striking Jean in the arm.
