Man Breaks Into Kennedy Compound 'Looking for Katy Perry'

James Lacroix, 53, was arrested after the bizarre incident.

Barnstable police on Tuesday reported a bizarre incident involving a man dressed in a Captain America T-shirt who allegedly broke into the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, claiming he was looking for singer Katy Perry.

NBC News reported James Lacroix, 53, was in the home for a few hours. Authorities responded when Ted Kennedy Jr., who was in Connecticut, called the home to check on his teenage son and Lacroix answered the phone, police said.

The son, Ted Kennedy III, was not harmed, according to NBC.

The boy thought Lacroix was a family friend, CBS Boston reported.

When police arrived at the home, Lacroix was sitting on a couch reading a book, according to CBS.

Perry was in Montreal during the incident.
