Driver Arrested for 3rd OUI after Allegedly Hitting Pedestrian

Yarmouth police arrested a South Dennis Man after he allegedly hit a pedestrian while driving on Station Avenue Wednesday night.

 

Yarmouth police arrested David Edward Carroll, 60, Wednesday night after he allegedly struck Christopher Tevis Ballard, 30 of West Dennis, according to a press release.

Carroll was driving a 2008 Toyota Tacoma on Station Ave. at the time of the accident.

Ballard was seriously injured and was taken to Tufts Medical Center in Boston by MedFlight.

Carroll was charged with a felony 3rd offense OUI-liquor, felony OUI-liquor and causing serious bodily injury and operating to endanger.

Carroll was arraigned in Barnstable District Court this morning. The Yarmouth Police Department and the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the accident.
