Car Crashes into Centerville 7-Eleven

A car crashed into the 7-Eleven in Centerville Tuesday afternoon, damaging the front of the store.

According to Barnstable police the crash occurred when the driver mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake while parking in front of the store at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The car struck a large cement trashcan then pushed it through a front window. The car then turned to avoid further damage and scraped the front of the building until crashing into another vehicle parked in the lot.

No injuries were reported and the damage to the store was minor.
