Cape Police Officer Arrested, Charged with Assault with Intent to Murder
A veteran Sandwich police officer was arrested Thursday night for allegedly ramming a family members car and running it off the road.
Michael F. Hoadley, 46, was driving on Rt. 6 east bound when he allegedly rammed the back of a family members vehicle multiple times forcing it into the median, according to a press release.
After ensuring the safety of the victim, Sandwich police arrested Hoadley. Hoadley was charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (motor vehicle), domestic assault and battery, operating to endanger, and leaving the scene of accident with property damage.

Hoadley’s police powers have been suspended and he was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
