Boston Man Arrested for Distributing Heroin on Cape Cod

A heroin trafficking arrest was made after an investigation by Barnstable Police Narcotics Detectives and members of the Bristol County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit.

A six-month narcotics investigation by several law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of a Boston man suspected of selling $25,000 worth of heroin per week on Cape Cod.

Gerard Boyce, 42, was arrested for two counts of distributing heroine and trafficking heroin, according to the Barnstable Police Department.

Barnstable Police Narcotics Detectives and members of the Bristol County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit learned that Boyce was traveling from Boston to the Cape several times per week to distribute heroin. An undercover officer from the Bristol County Sheriff's Office was able to infiltrate Boyce's organization and make two heroin purchases from him.

Last week, Boyce was stopped in Yarmouth where he was found with approximately 36 grams of heroin. The street value of the seized drugs was around $8,000, according to the BPD.
