Barnstable Police Blotter: Feb. 25 - 27

Fatal shootings, larcenies, drug dealers and suspicious activity kept police busy.

The following incidents, accidents and arrests took place in the town of Barnstable.  All information was taken from the log, includes all arrests and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

 Friday, February 25 

1:14 a.m. - Police arrested an individual while conducting an area security check at 95 Nautical Way, Hyannis. Police arrested Manuel Almeida of 549 Cottage St., Apt. 2, New Bedford on multiple warrants and possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute/cultivate or manufacture. Police put Christian Chapman of 142 Pitcher's Way, Hyannis in protective custody. 

2:19 a.m. - A disturbance was reported at 791 Pitcher's Way, Apt. 2, Hyannis. 

2:56 a.m. - A noise disturbance was reported at 30 Main St., Apt. F, Hyannis.

3:34 a.m. - A noise disturbance was reported at 30 Main St., Apt. F, Hyannis.

6:18 a.m. - A break-in was reported at 135 Scudder Ave., Hyannis.

8:26 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Bank of America on Main Street, Hyannis.

8:46 a.m. - A fight disturbance was reported at 381 Old Falmouth Rd., Apt 12, Marstons Mills.

9:41 a.m. - A larceny was reported at 58 First Ave., Hyannis.

11:46 a.m. - During a follow-up on a previous case at Salvation Army, police arrested Leann Femia of 77 Winter St., Hyannis for receiving a stolen credit card, larceny of property $250 or less and identity fraud.

12:38 p.m. - A domestic restraining order violation was reported at 8 Fresh Holes Rd., Hyannis.

1:33 p.m. - Police provided medical assistance at Sears.

3:08 p.m. - Police provided medical assistance to the hospital at 157 Windshore Dr., Hyannis. 

4:12 p.m. - A disturbance was gone on arrival at 537 Yarmouth Rd., Hyannis.

No Time Available - Harassment was reported at 158 Whitehall Way.

5:54 p.m. - An accident with property damage caused police to issue a summons to Joseph Cannistraro of 67 Timber Ln., Marstons Mills for operating a motor vehicle negligently. 

7:08 p.m. - Vandalism was reported 23 Burham St., Marstons Mills. 

7:59 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at Buckwood Drive and Castlewood Road, Hyannis.

9:05 p.m. - A motor vehicle break-in was reported at 426 North St., Hyannis at Crabtree CPA & Associates.

9:08 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at 97 Quaker Rd., Hyannis.

9:44 p.m. - An assault and battery was reported at the Cape Cod Hospital.

10:24 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was gone on arrival at Long Pond Road and Mockingbird Lane, Marstons Mills.

10:45 p.m. - Domestic harassment was reported at Burger King on Route 132.

10:55 p.m. - Police provided medical assistance at Cotuit High Grounds Golf Course.

11:17 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Barnstable Horace Mann Charter Community School. 

11:17 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at North Street and Bassett Lane, Hyannis. 

Saturday, February 26

12:18 a.m. - A hit and run was reported at Cape Regency on South Main Street, Centerville.

12:25 a.m. - A break-in was reported at 58 Sterling Rd., Hyannis.

1:35 a.m. - The fire department was called to Cape Crossroads Condos on Bearse's Way.

1:43 a.m. - Police provided medical assistance to the hospital at 9 Meredith Way, Centerville.

1:46 a.m. - Police helped a medically confused person at 805 Pitcher's Way.

1:53 a.m. - Police responded to an accident with property damage at the airport rotary and arrested Dzmitry Mazheika of 262 Skunknet Rd., Centerville for an OUI and operating to endanger.

2:56 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Yarmouth Road and Route 28, police charged Joseph Brady of 36 Field Rd., Marstons Mills with operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to have the vehicle inspected.

3:40 a.m. - A medically confused person was asisted at 205 Old Jail Ln., Barnstable.

4:07 a.m. - A disturbance was reported at 134 Pine St., West Barnstable.

6:33 a.m. - Vandalism was reported at Sav-on-Gas on West Main Street, Hyannis.

7:37 a.m. - Vandalism was reported at 724 Main St., Hyannis.

8:13 a.m. - A disturbance was reported at 791 Pitcher's Way, Hyannis.

8:50 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at 153 Old Jail Ln., Barnstable.

9:08 a.m. - Police provided medical assistance at 791 Pitcher's Way.

9:13 a.m. - Vandalism was reported at 57 Stub Toe Rd., Cotuit.

9:28 a.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at 1884 Falmouth Rd., Centerville.

11:05 a.m. - A break-in was reported at Thrift Shop at 4463 Falmouth Rd., Cotuit.

11:25 a.m. - A domestic verbal argument was reported at Barnstable Police Station.

12:18 p.m. - A intoxicated person disturbance was reported at the NOAH Shelter.

2:06 p.m. - A report of domestic threats was made at Barnstable Police Department.

2:08 p..m. - A juvenile problem was reported at Kobi House in Hyannis.

2:17 p.m. - An accident with personal injury was reported at Uno's in Hyannis.

2:38 p.m. - Harassment was reported at 800 Bearse's Way, Apt. 4SF.

4:23 p.m. - Harassment was reported at 54 Sea St. Ext., Hyannis.

4:27 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Centerville Shopping Center.

4:50 p.m. - Unwanted harassment was reported at 10B Stuart St., Hyannis.

5:04 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at 20 Lakeside Dr. East, Centrville.

No Time Available - Harassment was reported at 624 Osterville West Barnstable Rd., Marstons Mills.

5:54 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop, police arrested Anderson Deoliveira of 800 Bearse's Way for operating a motor vehicle without a license, speeding and failing to report an address change to the RMV.

6:55 p.m. - Unwanted harassment was reported at 170 Winter St., Hyannis.

7:04 p.m. - A fight disturbance was reported on Crocker Street.

8:54 p.m. - Hazardous materials were reported at Falmouth Road and Bearse's Way.

10:10 p.m. - Police responded to a domestic assault and battery at 26 Yarmouth Rd., Apt C2 and arrested Diane Marie Carreiro of the same address for domestic assault and battery and put her in protective custody.

10:45 p.m. - Police issued a summons during a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Rd to Everett Costa of 140 Lincoln Rd., Hyannis for failure of owner to have the vehicle inspected and operating a vehicle with a revoked license.

11:42 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at the Cape Codder Resort. 

11:59 p.m. - A larceny was reported at 182 Main St., Apt. 2, Hyannis. 

Sunday, February 27

12:24 a.m. - During a security check at 50 Pine Grove Ave., Hyannis police nabbed Phillip Morse of 50 Pine Grove Ave., Hyannis on a warrant. 

12:47 a.m. - A fight disturbance was reported on Nautical Way and police responded by issuing two summons. Tara Gavigan of 107 Gorham Rd., Harwich,  Eleanor Standish of 30 Steere Way, Marstons Mills and Maggie Grimes of 10 David St., Osterville were issued summons for assault and disturbing the peace. 

2:41 a.m. - A party disturbance was reported at 86 Elm St., Hyannis.

2:46 a.m. - A larceny was reported at 445 South St., Hyannis.

3:36 a.m. - Police made an arrest during a motor vehicle stop at 455 West Main St., Hyannis. Police arrested Romilson Batista Ferreira of 229 Pine St., Centerville for a false/stolen RMV document, operating a motor vehicle without a license and moving outside marked lanes. Police issued a summons to Jose Goncalves of 286 Sudbury Ln., Hyannis for allowing an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

4:37 a.m. - Police responded to a noise disturbance at 6 Fresh Holes Rd.

6:50 a.m. - A hit and run was reported at 266 Lovell's Ln., Marstons Mills.

10:09 a.m. - An attempted break-in was reported at 59 Walnut St., Hyannis.

9:57 a.m. - Police provided medical assistance at 85 Patriot Way, Centerville.

10:29 a.m. - Police provided medical assistance at 1135 Old Post Rd., Cotuit.

10:33 a.m. - Police provided medical assistance at 16 Bluejay Dr., Hyannis.

12:48 p.m. - Suspicious activity was reported at Safe Harbor in Hyannis.

12:55 p.m. - A disturbance was reported at the International Inn Cuddle and Bubble.

1:01 p.m. - A larceny was reported at the International House of Pancakes.

1:20 p.m. - A disturbance was reporte at Centerville Hobbies. 

1:38 p.m. - Vandalism was reported at 110 Blueberry Ln., Marstons Mills.

1:42 p.m. - A noise disturbance was reported at 6 Fresh Holes Rd.

2:00 p.m. - Police provided medical assistance to the hospital at 5 Grove St., Hyannis.

2:52 p.m. - A disturbance was reported at 25 Louis St., Hyannis.

3:34 p.m. - A trespass harassment was reported at 164 Winter St., Hyannis.

4:03 p.m. - An assault was reported at 1057 Santuit-Newtown Rd., Cotuit. Police transported an individual to the hospital and issued a summons to Miguel Jimenez of the same address for domestic assault and battery.

4:51 p.m. - A hit and run was reported on Independence Drive.

5:17 p.m. - A suspicious motor vehicle was reported at Hillside Cemetery in Osterville.

6:25 p.m. - The fire department was called to 1860 Old Stage Rd., West Barnstable.

6:43 p.m. - Police issued a summons during a motor vehicle stop to Lewis Brown of 881 Route 28, South Yarmouth  for operating a vehicle without a license and no inspection.

6:45 p.m. - A domestic verbal argument was reported at 250 Lovell's Ln., Marstons Mills.

9:31 p.m. - Unwanted harassment was reported at 209 Main St., Hyannis.

10:07 p.m. - An assault and battery was reported at 42 Fresh Holes Rd., Hyannis. A murder investigation is under way.

11:41 p.m. - A disorderly person disturbance was reported at 241 Stevens St., Apt. A, Hyannis.

Any idea what the multiple warrants in the lead story were for? Seems disheartening how easily it appears people can evade LE.

Hi Walker, I do not remember specifically what each warrant was for, but I know they were not all from Barnstable. Usually what happens is someone doesn't show for a court date turning the charge into a warrant.

Thanks, just keeping tabs on the local talent. So if these were defaults, bail should be relatively high or not an option, as a no-show record can take it off the table. Any idea if he was a keeper or a catch & release like that scumbag Isidoro, who struck down in Chatham?
