78-Year-Old Cape Man Allegedly Admits to Attacking Relative with Rock

The 78-year-old Falmouth man charged with assault with intent to murder allegedly told police he snapped before assaulting his relative.

Winslow Weeks, 78, told police he snapped before knocking down a relative and hitting the victim with a rock Thursday, according to the Cape Cod Times. Weeks allegedly told police that times are tough and that the economy sucks.

Weeks allegedly went outside with his relative to check out an owl Thursday at about 7:30 p.m. when he knocked the individual down and grabbed for a loose rock from a retaining wall. Weeks was unable to pick up the rock because it was too heavy, but it fell on his relative’s head.
