Author Nancy Pelletier will discuss her book about Hurricane Andrew on Tuesday, September 24.

In recognition of Preparedness Month, the Cape Cod & Islands Chapter of the American Red Cross will host an author to share her experience as a volunteer during Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

Nancy Pelletier will discuss "Andrew's Angels" at the Cape Cod & Islands Chapter House, 286 South Street, Hyannis, on Tuesday, September 24. The book reading and signing will start at 6 p.m.

After two months of work on Hurricane Andrew, Pelletier continued to volunteer for National Disaster Response. She was the recipient of the Clara Barton Award from the St. Augustine, Florida chapter of the Red Cross.

Pelletier is now semi-retired. She moved to Cape Cod in 2004 to be closer to her granddaughter.

Space is limited for the reading. RSVP with Paula at 508 -775-1540 or paula.sweetman@redcross.org.
