Cape Cod Beer Plans Last Gasp Fundraiser

A team from Cape Cod Beer hopes to raise $60,000 for Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers with a party and auction on Friday, August 23.

Team Cape Cod Beer is working to raise $60,000 for the Last Gasp Charity Bike Ride, which benefits eight local charities. The Hyannis-based team will hold a fundraising party at the brewery, 1336 Phinneys Lane, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 23.

Tickets are $10 at the door and included one beer ticket and food. Tickets for the auction are $5 each. Auction items are on display now and the drawings will take place at the event.

Team Cape Cod Beer raised $55,295 last year and hope to top that with its 72 team members.

Friday's fundraiser is an effort for the September 15 bike ride. Riders will travel 62 miles from Sandwich to Provincetown before enjoying a party boat and lobster bake.

The ride will benefit the following charities: Cape and Islands United Way, Cape Cod Young Professionals, Champ Homes, Hope Hospice, Cape Cod Kiwanis Clubs of Hyannis and Sandwich, Lyme Awareness of Cape Cod, Silent Spring Institute and Spaulding Rehabilitation of Cape Cod.
