Community Corner

SnowDogALooza

SnowDogALooza is a fun-filled event with something for the whole family.

Come meet a beautiful snow dog in person! Participants can win exciting raffle prizes, enjoy refreshments and hike through beautiful Nickerson Park with their four-legged friends.  MUSH will also be sharing the progress of some recent Siberians who have received medical care and assistance through the group.  Boston Snow Dogs will bring several huskies
for families to meet and will hold an urban mushing demo to share this fun
sport.  Experts will make a presentation
on Siberians, their history and the sport of mushing.  Through the event MUSH would like to increase
awareness of the group and its work, raise funds to help Siberians in need, and share this beautiful breed with the community.

MUSH (Massachusetts Union for Siberian Huskies) is an
all-volunteer non-profit group that offers support to the Siberian Husky community in various ways including facilitating the re-homing of Huskies in
shelters or through private adoption, providing referrals for dog sports and activities, and recommending professional services.  The organization also offers financial aid to
shelters and rescues for Siberian Huskies with medical needs.  Their website includes a message board to facilitate the re-homing of Siberians and includes a forum for the exchange of information on Husky care.  Learn more about MUSH athttp://mushdogs.org/.

Boston Snow Dogs is a group of dog lovers focused on the
care and nurturing of northern breed dogs in urban environments.  Members share information and ideas, support Siberian owners and partner with local rescues.  The group holds regular meetups throughout New England to hike, mush or just gather with good friends.  Learn more about Boston Snow Dogs at http://www.meetup.com/BOSTONSNOWDOGS/.
