Hood Cream Truck Stops in Centerville, MA on 8/11 with Free Samples of Original Crab Bisque

HP Hood, the leading dairy brand in New England, today announced the launch of the “Chef Creations Inspired by Hood Cream” campaign. Through the program, Hood is partnering with local celebrity chefs to illustrate how Hood Cream is an essential ingredient in many of their delectable dishes. Beginning August 1st, fans are encouraged to submit an original recipe using Hood Cream for a chance to win $2,500 and have their recipe featured on Hood Cream containers. To inspire New England residents, the Hood Cream truck is touring the region from August 2nd – 23rd sampling custom chef creations made by leading chefs using Hood Cream. The Hood Cream Chef Inspirations Truck will make stops in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts and Rhode Island and offer free samples, recipe cards and coupons, plus a chance to meet the chefs at select locations.

"We’re looking forward to seeing all the delicious recipes from New Englanders showing how they use Hood Cream at home,” said Lynne Bohan, Hood spokesperson.  “By sampling the Hood Cream Truck dishes from top local chefs, we hope consumers will be inspired by the high quality and taste Hood Cream can add to their own dishes.”

The “Chef Creations Inspired by Hood Cream” recipe contest launched on Hood’s Facebook page on August 1st; entrants will have until September 4th to submit an original recipe made with Hood Cream. Five recipes from each of the six New England states will be chosen as finalists and one grand prize winner will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced in October. The winner will receive a cash prize of $2,500 and have their recipe featured on Hood Cream containers.

To illustrate the variety of delectable dishes that can be created using Hood Cream, three local chefs from Portland, Providence and Boston have created one-of-kind dishes that will be served during Hood Cream Chef Inspirations Food Truck tour. At every stop, Hood representatives will be on-site handing out free samples of the different original chef creations, recipe cards, and Hood Cream coupons. Each chef will be at the truck at select locations, offering consumers a chance to learn firsthand about how they use Hood Cream in their restaurants.
