“The Presents of Angels” Holiday Art Show and Performance Series

“The Presents of Angels” is a holiday art show at the Hyannis Harbor Arts Center at the Guyer Barn featuring the work of master sculptors, well-known painters and photographers.  The exhibit is Saturday, December 1st through Saturday, January 5th.  Artists include Arnold Geissbuhler, Harry Holl, Sarah Holl, Edith Vonnegut, Pandora Peoples, Susan Breen, Shawn Dahlstrom, Tina Holl, Carol Covill, Cindy Sauers, Michelle Noiset and Richard Williams.  A holiday gift boutique will be open during all free events.  A portion of the sales proceeds will benefit WE CAN, an organization empowering all women in transition from job loss to domestic abuse.  All holiday exhibits and performances are free and open to the public.

Saturday, December 1st: Dance performances by Cape Cod African Dance and Drum and Troupe Isis.


Saturday, December 8th-6PM:  Cape Cod Poetry Review Publication Party hosted by John Bonanni.  Performances by local writers featured in the literary journal and music provided by Kathleen Healey.

Saturday December 15th -7PM:  An Evening of Monologues exploring holiday topics with host Tamora Engle.


 


Friday January 4th -7pm:  An Evening of New Year’s Poetry hosted by Joe Gouevia, including performances by Barry Hellman and other authors.

The Hyannis Harbor Arts Center is a showcase for emerging and established artists in a variety of genres.   It is a community art space, a working artist studio and a professional artist gallery which supports and promotes the arts through instruction, events, exhibits and performances. The HHAC is part of the HyArts Cultural District.  The Barn plays a key role as part of the artist campus at the corner of South and Pearl Streets, developed by the Town of Barnstable.  It includes the artist work studios @50 Pearl and Sarah Holl ArtSpace, an artist live/work/gallery space at 46 Pearl Street.  Winter hours at the Center are Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 12-4PM.  Other days by chance and always by appointment.  www.hyartsdistrict.com/hhac
