SWEDISH WEAVING CLASSES WITH ELLEN TEMKIN

Ellen Temkin has been teaching Swedish Weaving on Huck fabric since 1983 and has been an embroiderer since 1969.  Huck is an even-weave fabric similar to Aida with raised threads, a.k.a. "floats."  The embroidery is done using a tapestry needle and is worked sideways, like sewing, not stabbed, like in cross-stitch. These classes will focus on technique rather than on a specific project, with each class concentrating on different stitches and subsequent designs.

Free, but registration is required; attendance at all classes is not necessary. (Please bring needlepoint scissors and #22 or #24 embroidery needles if you happen to have them.)
