Current Quarterly Present Pop-Up Party

Present Pop Up Party Featuring Local Vendors to Benefit The Needy Fund

Hyannis-- On Friday evening, December 6th, The Current Quarterly, Cape Cod's first and only fashion magazine, will host a Present Pop Up Party at Tommy Doyle's in Hyannis ( to raise money for the Cape Cod Times Needy Fund. A $5 entry fee will be collected at the door, and each customer will be given a raffle ticket to enter to win a gift from the participating vendors. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase.

The Current Quarterly hosts an event every quarter to highlight local boutiques, as well as raise money for various local nonprofits. "This is the second year we have chosen The Needy Fund as a the beneficiary for the winter event, because they give aid to some of the neediest Cape Codders" says Current Quarterly editor, Amanda Converse, "the local businesses are always looking for ways to give back to our community - this offers them an opportunity to do this but also show their wares with consumers."

The Needy Fund provides the residents of Cape Cod and the Islands with financial assistance for a range of basic human needs when they fall on tough times. The Needy Fund helps families and individuals through cancer, car accidents, family deaths, job loss, temporary and permanent disabilities, serious childhood illnesses, fire, spousal abandonment and many other urgent situations all year long.

Boutiques involved in the Pop Up Party are Shift Eco Boutique, The Little Beach Gallery, The Picket Fence, Mulberry Corners, Adrift, Cape Cod Coffee Roasters, Green Line by K, Hot Diggity, Mosee's, Porter & Mags, Shawl Boutique & Consignment, Beechtree Gallery, Swirls Jewelry, and Wicked Thrift.

The event will go from 5-9pm, and will feature Christmas tunes by local steel drum musician Michael Gabriel.
