Cape Cod Maritime Museum - Summer Classes

Every 2 weeks on Thursday, until Aug 21, 2014

Environment Theme Week - Native Americans and Weir Fishing
During the summer of 2014, Cape Cod Maritime Museum will be offering maritime science and art (“STEAM”) based classes for youth and adults. There are two week long themes throughout the summer. The classes can be taken as the week long seminar at $190, an individual class for $45 or the activity with each class at 10am for the cost of $15. The full class is offered from 9:30am—12:30pm and they are for ages 7 and older.
A fishing weir is traditionally built from wood or stones and placed in tidal waters or rivers which was designed to slow the passage of fish to easily catch them. Learn about how they were used by Native Americans and build your own!
