Cape Cod Maritime Museum - Summer Classes

Every 2 weeks on Thursday, until Aug 28, 2014

Boating Theme Week - Buoyancy Theory & Application
During the summer of 2014, Cape Cod Maritime Museum will be offering maritime science and art (“STEAM”) based classes for youth and adults. There are two week long themes throughout the summer. The classes can be taken as the week long seminar at $190, an individual class for $45 or the activity with each class at 10am for the cost of $15. The full class is offered from 9:30am—12:30pm and they are for ages 7 and older.
Buoyancy is defined as the upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an immersed object.  Come for the morning and learn about this theory through actual application using a variety of objects and test what happens when they are placed in water.
