Description:
During the summer of 2014, Cape Cod Maritime Museum will be offering maritime science and art ("STEAM") based classes for youth and adults. There are two, one week long themes throughout the summer. the classes can be taken as the week long seminar at $190, an individual clas for $45 or the activity with each class at 10am for the cost of $15. The full class is offered from 9:30am-12:30pm and they are for ages 7 and older.Classes Include:
Mondays: Basic Coastal Navigation
Tuesdays: Coastal Communication; Morse Code, Lighthouses, and Signal Flags
Wednesdays: Knots; A Journey in Applied Math
Thursdays: Buoyancy Theory and Application
Fridays: The Physics of Sailing Theory & Application; Lift Drag, Simple Machines and Apparent Wind
