High Wind Warning for Barnstable County

The National Weather Service is predicting high winds for the region. A high wind warning for Barnstable County goes into effect tonight at 9 p.m.

 

The high wind warning will remain in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a chance of showers tonight with thunderstorms possible after 4 a.m. You should expect some areas of fog as well.

Otherwise, it will be cloudy, with a low around 50. It will be windy with a southwest wind 20 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph.

The chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
