Board of Health Approves Ban on Tobacco Sales at Pharmacies
Barnstable becomes the fourth Cape town to ban tobacco sales at pharmacies.
The Barnstable Board of health voted unanimously to ban tobacco sales at all health care institutions Tuesday, according to the Cape Cod Times.
Pharmacies are included in the ban and they will have 60 days to comply with the new regulations. The ban includes the sale of cigarettes, chewing tobacco and cigars. Electronic cigarettes were not included in the ban but could be added later.
