Tambascia joins Bank of Cape Cod

Tony Tambascia of Cummaquid has joined the growing residential lending team at Bank of Cape Cod.

Tambascia, who most recently worked at Citizens Bank, has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage business. He will be providing his expertise as a mortgage loan officer serving the Barnstable Village to Provincetown area for Bank of Cape Cod.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Tony’s mortgage experience and knowledge about Cape Cod contributing to the success of our residential lending team,” said Timothy T. Telman, President and CEO of Bank of Cape Cod.

Bank of Cape Cod launched its residential lending division last May and continues to expand staffing. Tambascia joins Dante DiMassa, vice president of residential lending; Carole Cook, mortgage loan officer in Osterville; and Keeley Scales, mortgage underwriter.

“This is an exciting opportunity and I’m looking forward to working with my clients at Bank of Cape Cod,” Tambascia said. “I enjoy helping people and it is so rewarding when someone comes to me and I can help them get a loan for their piece of the American Dream. It is a great feeling.”

Tambascia is a graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, received an associate’s degree in art from Cape Cod Community College, and earned a bachelor of science in criminal justice from Westfield State University.

He is a board director for the Cummaquid Heights Association and works on the membership committee for Blue Coats of Barnstable, an organization that helps raise money for the Barnstable Police Department. Tambascia and his wife, Becca, have two sons, Anthony and Caden,  and enjoy family time, traveling, boating and going to the beach.
